Improving and expanding an existing small outdoor living space within a sloped backyard. The client’s existing fireplace and surrounding cut stone wall were preserved and integrated into the new exposed aggregate concrete patio.
Eisler cut into the existing slope to extend the backyard space to accommodate a new pool and SYNLawn turf surround. A retaining wall was required once the slope was cut and the client selected a two tier random boulder wall made with locally sourced sandstone boulders. The boulder wall defines the backyard into two separate spaces, the lower pool and patio from the upper lawn and play area.
In lieu of a hardscape pool deck, the client chose SYNLawn synthetic turf to connect the pool deck to the patio. SYNLawn is a great choice for challenging areas where lawn is desired but difficult to maintain. Find out more about our synthetic turf line – synlawnpittsburgh.com
